Tipsy Tuesday: Chlorophyll
Sassy Wellness: Tipsy Tuesday
It’s another *Tipsy Tuesday* and today I want to talk about the awesome benefits of chlorophyll. So what exactly is it, you ask?
“Cholorphyll is a green pigment present in plants which facilitates the absorption of light from the sun (winning). Chlorophyll has the ability to convert this light energy into usable form. Its molecular structure is similar to that of hemoglobin, which is a critical part of human blood and performs the same function in the body as the hemoglobin."
Chlorophyll is a super food that’s packed with a range of powerful nutrients. It’s a good source of vitamins A, C, E, K and beta carotene. It’s also rich in #antioxidants, vital minerals such as #magnesium, #iron, #potassium, #calcium and essential fatty acids.
All of that is great, but what does that mean for how it actually impacts your body you ask? Well, here are a few things it can do for you:
*Detoxify impurities
*Cleanses blood
*Assists with Anti-aging
*Improves Digestion
*Boosts Immunity
*Inhibits growth of micro-organisms
*Naturally deodorizes #body internally
I like to take my chlorophyll 1 TABLESPOON per 8 oz. of water. The recommended serving size is 2 tablespoons a day, but you can start wherever is most comfortable for you. For the purposes of this post I thought 1 teaspoon or even ¼ of that might be a good starting point for beginners.
As far as taste (and color for that matter) goes, don’t be intimidated. Chlorophyll has a vaguely sweet taste that’s barely noticable with the addition of lemon. Go ahead and give chlorophyll a chance. Your body will thank you for it. Let me know if you do!
#Cheers!
